History

Department of Public Health of NCKU was established in 1983. It expanded its master program in 2000, followed by a doctoral program in 2008. Also, the department inaugurated Master of Public Health (MPH) program in 2015.

1. Complete programs, diverse learning:
Department of Public Health of NCKU has three graduate programs, including Master program, Doctoral program, and Master of Public Health (MPH) program. Furthermore, our students come from various fields, including medicine, public health, nursing, nutrition, statistics, social science, and others. This diverse background provides a good environment for students to interact and learn with each other.

2. Comprehensive faculty, specialized experts:
Our faculty are all with well knowledge and wisdom, which the research themes cover Health policy, Community health, Epidemiology, Biostatics, Health promotion, Clinical trials evaluation, and Cost-effectiveness analysis, etc. We devote to train students with the ability of independent thinking, exploring health related problems with clinical medicine, and making inter-discipline cooperation research and analysis.

3. Sufficient research resource:
We own a variety of database (including national health survey, NHI, follow-up investigation) and different kinds of statistical software. These resources are very important for helping student's research development.
